Does Obama really want to work on this stimulus pkg.?

Why is Obama leaving Washington, instead of staying and trying to work out this stimulus fiasco? Isn't this how he behaved as an Illinois spokesman? He isn't even voting present.Does Obama really want to work on this stimulus pkg.?
The Republicans already came to a ';compromised'; package which means they've voluntarily grabbed their ankles and asked for the shaft. Bunch of spineless cowards.





As for the stimulus -- doesn't anyone find it strange that Obama said the package was too big and filled with too much ';pork'; during the interview w/ Lauer during the Super Bowl -- this before the Senate added 13.5 billion dollars to it?





Now he's all for it and cheering ';urgency';.

';That's what a stimulus is, Spending...seriously'; Unless that spending is maintained w/in the government...that's called expanding the reach and power of your party by reinvigorating failing policies and departments. Sad...and at the expense of the very people who voted for him. Who exactly do you think will pay for this when inflation and the tax burdens arrive? We all know that rich push the added cost through the channels in the form of higher prices or less employment. And devaluing the dollar disproportionately hurts the very people who don't own a lot of them as they lose purchasing power.





Jokers are the people who believe this guy.

Since the Senate isn't doing anything more until Monday, it would be kind of pointless trying to do anything until then.





I'll be honest though, I think the Republicans are taking advantage of Obama's desire to be bi-partisan. They don't have the votes to block any legislation and if they get to demanding, they risk losing any concessions. In the meantime, the American people are suffering while all this bickering and debating is taking place.
Obama has been working on it for WEEKS. Where have you been? BTW, he doesn't have to be in Washington to work on it, genius. He's not going to the end of the Earth. Ever hear of telephones, computers, fax machines?
because it's up to the house and senate to vote on it now, there is nothing he can do with it at the moment. do you not read or listen to the news??
