Need to know how to work this problem below?

Sarah traveled a total of 1500 km. She covered 45 % by plane, and another 40 % by train and the remaining distance by road. How many kilometers did she cover by each mode of transport?Need to know how to work this problem below?
she has travelled 85% by plane and train and thus 15% by road

45/100 x 1500 = km travelled by plane

40/100 x 1500 by train

15/100 x 1500 by roadNeed to know how to work this problem below?
1500km * .45 = plane distance

1500km * .40 = train distance

1500km * (100% total -85%=15% or .15) = by road
take 1500 multiplied by .45 (i.e. 45 %) which will the amount covered by plane

then take 1500 multiplied by by .4 (i.e. 40%) which will be the amount covered by train

then subtract the sum of the first two answers from 1500, and that will be your amount covered on the road
1500*0.45=675

1500*0.4=600

1500*0.15=225
1500*.45 = 675 km by air

1500 *.4 = 600 km by train

1500*.15 = 225 km by road
