I was wondering how is it possible to boot people from video games by getting their IP address? I know there is software to do it but i was wondering how to get it so when I use my xbox 360 that the IP address would show up for everyone else.How do you get this to work?
there are a couple ways to boot someone off a gaming server... one is server side through permissions (the ethical way) and the other is to create a constant loop that pings their IP address... (unethical and called the ping of death)
It works by keeping their IP address busy and not able to communicate... it is not ethical and many routers have protection from it.
(reminder, your computer that is pinging is also tied up and it is easy to find who did it)
