This occurs after about 2 mins., while checking or composing e-mails.It started 2 days ago after I downloaded an anti-virus update.I uninstalled the program but it is still occuring.I suspect some incompatibility might have caused this.I keep getting popup ';internet explorer has stopped working';closing this box closes all windows.What can I do?
Yeah....i have seen that before....that is annoying....especially when it starts shutting down all you Internet explorer windows.
Go to start, control panel, Internet options. Click the advanced tab and then click reset at the bottom. It will make the program like new so it will work right. After that check for any updates and let them install.

Are you running Vista?
If yes, that IS the problem.
download ad-aware anti virus, and ccleaner, update both and then run them, after that do a disc check, if it's a windows based you may just right click your hard drive and choose presences. And there you got it, if that's not the case. Try to take: Tools - Internet options in the Internet toolbar, and delete history, stored files, temporally, just take all. This may work, try with the latest Internet explorer too.
