I just bought a Mac and can't get yahoo messenger to open the chat rooms. How can I get this to work?

I can do everything else with Yahoo Messenger but it doesn't show the chat room button. Can I even get the Chat rooms with my computer or am I just doing it wrong? Please help.I just bought a Mac and can't get yahoo messenger to open the chat rooms. How can I get this to work?

Unfortunately, you will only be able to use messenger to message people it does Not allow chat rooms because yahoo got rid of java script and yahoo chat rooms are windows friendly( thanks to bill gates).


However, you can download Adium to go to chat rooms which is for mac users. you will have to type in always the name of the room and the room number... example: Gardening:1--Chat or Trivia Madness!:1--Chat ... type it EXactly like that with --Chat ... everything must be like it appears from when you used windows chat. Also... getting into chat rooms is difficult lately especially with Adium and you might even have to retry 5 or 6 times. I really wish yahoo did not get rid of java but bill gates has such a monopoly on windows with yahoo and the competition with macs. Good Luck ( you'll probably never get a virus with a Mac though... I know I have one)





o... my husband just informed me if you bought a Mac it should have a thing called Boot Camp on it that has a windows option on it) mine doesnt it is older) where you can get windows and go to chat... he said he thinks it is called boot camp and that it is in your hard drive
