Anyone ever feel like the people who work less in this world, come out ahead?

I bust my butt at work and produce more completed work then my counterparts and they are the ones the boss seems to like better and rewards them?? It's very frustrating and makes me want to have a so what attitude, but that's just not me!Anyone ever feel like the people who work less in this world, come out ahead?
There's more to working effectively than working hard. It is a mistake to simplistically envision the world of human enterprise and behavior as a sensible system. Many good people erroneously hinge their success on the well-meaning but unrealistic belief that if WE conduct ourselves in honorable ways, others will behave in honorable ways toward us. There are self-serving motivations inherent in that belief. It's a form of manipulative behavior, just as push - and - shove as anything else out there in the shark tank. It's even a little passive-aggressive. But, it isn't as effective as anything else out there in the shark tank. We cannot enter the work culture with such an agenda, a belief that we can impose OUR concepts of honor and OUR work ethic onto others. It doesn't work that way. You will get gobbled up. The only way to survive is to make the challenge not about the hopeless agenda of imposing our notions onto others but to study the ways and rules of the work culture in an unbiased way, without involving our self-esteem in the process, and then mastering those ways and rules. One such way is to trumpet your own successes, for example. It's not enough to just work hard. You have to get more sophisticated and complex than that.Anyone ever feel like the people who work less in this world, come out ahead?
