Big time scam.Recieved a email from apple store requesting a copy of bank statement and passport is this a scamer at work ?
I've received a similar email and I don't even have any Apple products! And even if I did I can tell you that this is definitely a scam. Same as I keep on getting emails from different banks telling me to go to their website to update my band details when I don't have accounts with them. Another scam, but really easy to spot.
This is a scam. You are right. No company requires your passport or bank statement. whatever u do do not gvie ur personal identification info such as passport number, Social Security number, details of bank account etc to any site.
treat it with caution

there should be a number in the instruction book of your mac that will have a phone number on call them and ask what the score is, never give out your details and never ever send a statement to anywhere
Definitely a scam! If you want, you could send this stuff to me along with your birth date and social security number! :p Just kidding! Legitimate companies will never request this info via e-mail.
Yes its a scam, that sort of company has no need for those details especially your passport and even if you bought something on credit it would be done by post.
DO NOT send that info. No way that any legit company would EVER request your bank statement or your passport.
You are right: it's a scam.

Don't whatever you do send copies of bank statements or passports

No ';real'; company would ever ask for this
do not send any kind of infomation phone htem up ask htem why evne if they give you a reason this go agient tradeing standers they can not ask oyu for that kind of imfomation
Don't be silly enough to even entertain the idea...it is a scam!!! If you are still unsure then ring the apple store. Don't do it!!!
sounds like a scam to me...they wouldn't need that info no way...report it though could be big probs for someone who fell for it
Mark it as spam.

DO NOT REPLY WITH THE THINGS THEY ASK FOR.
Of course it is.
